Brightening of wearing courses

For this application, RÖHRIGgranit® offers a very bright, crystalline granodiorite. Compared to a granite, it is characterized by a higher proportion of white feldspar, which leads to a significant brightening. The considerable mica content also improves reflection.

The brightening of asphalt wearing courses serves the following purposes:

  • increased stability due to less heating as a result of reflection from solar radiation
  • energy savings for stationary lighting
  • improvement of contrast vision, which leads to increased road safety
