For this application, RÖHRIGgranit® offers a very bright, crystalline granodiorite. Compared to a granite, it is characterized by a higher proportion of white feldspar, which leads to a significant brightening. The considerable mica content also improves reflection.
The brightening of asphalt wearing courses serves the following purposes:
- increased stability due to less heating as a result of reflection from solar radiation
- energy savings for stationary lighting
- improvement of contrast vision, which leads to increased road safety
